Inflammation vs. Congestion

So many acne sufferers are using the wrong ingredients to treat their skin. I decided to try to help clear the mystery up once and for all to help those who struggle with acne and don’t know what to products to use.

We need to remember that all acne is not the same. There are many causes of acne; environmental, hormonal, genetics, diet, etc. this chart should help give a general idea of what ingredients are used for the most common types of acne and/or inflammatory congestion. On the most basic level, if your skin is bumpy or feels like there is sand under the surface with no redness, then your skin is congested. If your skin has red bumps with or without fluid in them, you have inflammatory acne. Thankfully, inflammatory acne usually is easier to get under control with professional guidance.

Before going out buying treatments for you or your child's acne, first, seek professional advice from a licensed Esthetician or Dermatologist because everyone’s skin is different, and your habits and health may change which is best for you.
