Combat Winter Dryness: How a Pro Saves her Skin

Last week I noticed the skin at the center of my forehead and nose had turned rough and flaky – winter had caught up with my face and decided to make its mark. My skin isn’t usually visibly dry, although it is something I tend to suffer from. Luckily, owning a skincare clinic gives me access to fantastic products and I was able to put together what I thought to be a winning team:  Biodroga’s Cleansing Oil, Biodroga MD Hypersensitive Cream, and G.M. Collin’s Stem Cell Mask.

I’ve been using the Biodroga Cleansing oil  for all my cleanses for about 6 months now, and I love it. It has become my all time favorite cleanser I’ve ever used and it has the most delicate scents because of the apricot seed oil base. It cleanses well and preseves your skin’s natural moisturize barrier without clogging because it is two-phase; Phase 1 you use it without adding any water as a massage to lift dirt and debris out of the pores, then you add water and it becomes a luxurious milk cleanser that rinses clean. With its light scent and smooth texture, you can smell and feel the quality of the oil. A dime size amount is all you need to give just the right amount of “slip” for a quick facial massage in the evening. (It’s also been a lifesaver in keeping my eczema and psoriasis under control.)

After all that nourishment and massage, I like a bit of Biodroga MD’s pleasantly rich and non-greasy Hypersensitive cream. It contains calming agents that calm and sooth angry skin caused by the cold, dry winter, and helps rebuild my skin’s ecosystem making it better at fending off things like allergines and free radicals.   I can already see the rough skin and flakiness starting to retreat, my tendency toward redness is greatly demininshed  and I am gradually seeing smoothness again.

My twice-weekly booster; GM Collin Phyto Stem Cell Mask, which granted I’ve only been using for about a week but I can already see and feel the changes in my skin. This mask contains probiotics, ceramides, and plant stem cells, to nourish aging skin and gives me a noticeable boost. Every time I use it at least one of my clients asks “What have you been doing?”{insert my smile and blushing here} But, seriously what keeps me coming back to this product is how SOFT my skin feels afterward, it’s like a dream. And the best part is if I’m too busy to mask properly, I can pop just a little bit on over my night moisturizer and rinse it in the morning.
